This page explains how to request deletion of your Peek account and associated data.

Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest way to request deletion.
This applies to:
- registered users
- anonymous users who still have access to the original device where Peek is installed
Steps:
- Open the Peek app
- Go to
Settings - Tap
Delete Account - Confirm the request
After confirmation, the app shows a pending deletion state and the scheduled deletion date.
You can cancel the scheduled deletion before the 30-day retention window ends.
If you cannot access the app
If you cannot access the app, email support@peek.cards.
Recommended email subject: Account deletion request
Please include:
- the email address used in the account, if available
- a short description of why you cannot access the app
- any additional details needed to help verify ownership
We may ask for identity verification before processing the request.
What happens after you request deletion
- the deletion request is scheduled immediately
- the account enters a pending deletion state
- personal data is retained for 30 days after the request to allow account recovery or cancellation
- after the 30-day period, deletion becomes permanent
Data deleted as part of account deletion
Account deletion covers user-visible data categories, including:
- account data, such as your account identifier and email address
- password hash
- authentication sessions
- push notification tokens
- study history
- decks and cards created by you
- consent records and related account-level preferences
Data that may be retained
Some data may remain after account deletion for legal, security, or operational reasons.
- audit logs may be retained for legal and accountability reasons
- retained audit records are non-user-facing operational records
- if your public decks have been followed by other users, they may remain available in anonymized form or may be removed at our discretion
